Policies
Last updated: October 18, 2026. These policies apply to every purchase, free download, live lesson and review on this site, for customers in all countries. In these policies, “we” means Olivier Djoukang, trading as Pas à Pas FRENCH.
1. Seller
Pas à Pas FRENCH is the trade name of , and the author of the method, who sells in his own name.

2. Terms of sale
- Products. We sell digital French courses (modules and progress tests, as a PDF with MP3 audio and as a web edition used online on this site), exam practice tests, and live one-to-one video lessons. Each product page states what it contains.
- Prices. Prices are set in US dollars, and local payment methods have their own fixed price in their own currency. Amounts shown in any other currency are estimates, updated daily. You are charged the price shown at checkout. Any fees charged by your own bank, including currency conversion fees, are your responsibility.
- Taxes. Depending on your country, VAT, GST or sales tax may apply to digital products and services. If it applies, it is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Payment. At checkout, you are offered only the payment methods available in your country of residence. Bank card and PayPal are available worldwide, and where we offer them, local methods for your country, such as mobile money, are also available. Payments are processed by our payment providers, and we never see or store your card details.
- Your personal copy. Every file you buy is made for you, with your name, email address and order number at the bottom of its pages. Your download links are personal and expire after 7 days or 5 downloads, whichever comes first. You can ask us for new links at any time.
- Delivery. Once your payment is confirmed, your course opens in “My courses” and your download links are sent by email, usually within minutes. If nothing arrives within an hour, check your spam folder, then contact us and we will resend the links.
- Reading online. For 12 months from the date of payment, you can read your course online in “My courses” and pick up where you left off. You sign in with the email address you used at checkout, and we send you a sign-in link, so there is no password to remember. Online reading is for your use only: if the same course is opened from many different places on the same day, online reading is paused for the rest of that day. The files you download are yours to keep after the 12 months.
- Pre-orders. A product marked “Pre-order” is not yet finished (for example, a course that is written but still being illustrated, or practice tests that are still being written). You pay the price shown, and your files are emailed to you the day they are ready, with any parts of the product that are already finished sent right away. Until the files are sent, you can cancel for a full refund of anything not yet delivered. If a pre-order is not delivered within 90 days of your payment, we will refund it in full, unless you tell us you would rather wait.
- Updates. Corrections and updates to a product you bought are sent to you at no extra cost.
- Free module. A0 Module 1 is free. Enter your email address and you receive it by email, with no payment details required.
3. Refunds and right of withdrawal
- Digital files. The files are delivered immediately. At checkout, you request immediate delivery and agree that, once delivery has started, you lose your right of withdrawal. For this reason, all sales of digital products are final.
- Pre-orders. You can cancel by writing to us at any time before the files are sent, and we will refund the full price of anything not yet delivered. Once the files are sent, the rule above applies.
- Faulty files. If a file is damaged, incomplete or won't open, tell us within 30 days and we will replace it, or refund you if we can't.
- Wrong level. To choose the right level, take the free level test, download the free module, or write to us before you buy. We answer every question before purchase.
- Live lessons. See the rules below. If Olivier cancels a lesson, it is always rescheduled or refunded.
4. License and use by teachers
When you buy a product, you receive a personal, non-transferable license. This is the license printed at the start of every booklet.
- Learners may use the files and print one copy for their own study.
- Teachers who work on other platforms, in a school or independently are welcome to buy any product for their personal use: to study the method, prepare their lessons, and use it in their own teaching with their own students.
- Not allowed for anyone: reselling or redistributing the files; sharing, sending or giving the files to anyone else, including students; posting them publicly, or on any website, platform, shared drive or group; removing the author's name or the license line that shows your name; using the files to train software or artificial intelligence.
- Each learner who wants the files for their own use must buy their own copy.
- The method, including its texts, exercises, audio and illustrations, belongs to Olivier Djoukang and is protected by copyright. It was written from scratch for this course.
5. Live lessons
- Booking. You choose one of Olivier's open slots, shown in your own time zone, from 3 hours to two weeks ahead. The slot is held for you while you pay, and your payment confirms the lesson. If none of the times work for you, you can suggest at least 3 start times when you are free (no more than 3 per day, with no overlaps). Olivier marks the ones that work for him, then you choose one and pay. You can talk to Olivier before booking, free of charge.
- Where. Lessons take place by video on this site. You need a camera, a microphone and an up-to-date browser. Lessons are not recorded.
- Rescheduling. You can move a lesson once, free of charge, if you ask at least 24 hours before it starts.
- Late cancellation or no-show. If you cancel less than 24 hours before a lesson, or miss it, the lesson counts as taken. If you arrive late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time.
- If Olivier cancels, or the lesson can't take place because of a problem on our side, you can choose either a new time or a full refund for that lesson.
- Bundles of 5 lessons are valid for 2 months from the date of purchase. Any lessons not booked within that time are lost.
- Plans. A plan (4, 8 or 16 lessons of 60 minutes) runs in 2-month periods, and you book your lessons as you go during each period. Lessons not booked by the end of a period don't carry over. At the end of each period, the plan renews automatically with a fresh set of lessons, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel it. We email you 7 days before each renewal. You can cancel the renewal at any time before the renewal date, in one click from “My live lessons” or by writing to us. You keep your remaining lessons until the end of the current period, and you won't be charged again. If a renewal is charged and you haven't booked any lessons in the new period, write to us within 7 days for a full refund of that renewal. If you pay by mobile money, each renewal is a payment request that you confirm on your phone.
- Conduct. Lessons are based on mutual respect. Olivier may end a lesson without a refund if behavior becomes abusive.
6. Exam practice tests
The DELF, DALF and TCF practice tests sold here are original tests written in the current official format. They are not official exam papers and are not endorsed by France Éducation international, which owns the DELF, DALF and TCF. The levels, marks and NCLC scores given in their web editions are practice estimates, not official scores. The immigration rules mentioned are a guide only, so check them with the relevant authorities. The practice tests help you prepare, but we can't guarantee any result in the real exam or any immigration outcome.
7. Reviews
- Who can leave a review. Only buyers. After each purchase, you receive an email with a personal link, and each order allows one review.
- Publication is automatic. Reviews are published immediately, without being read or selected by us. Every rating from 1 to 5 stars is published, and negative reviews are never hidden or removed for being negative.
- The only filter applies to the wording and blocks insults or obscenities, links, email addresses and phone numbers, reviews written entirely in capital letters, and texts shorter than 20 or longer than 1,200 characters. A review blocked by the filter is not published, but its author is told why and can correct it.
- Nothing is offered in exchange for a review, positive or negative.
- Reviews show only the author's first name and country, with their consent. Olivier may reply publicly below a review. You can ask us to delete your review at any time.
8. Privacy
What we collect, and why.
- Your email address and name: to deliver your files or the free module, confirm your lessons and reply to you. They are printed in the files you buy to protect them from illegal sharing, and are kept with your order in our license register.
- Your country of residence: to show your currency and the payment methods available in your country.
- Your mobile money number, if you pay that way: only to process that payment.
- Your lesson requests (suggested times, topic, level): to organize your lessons.
- Your review, if you leave one.
- Marketing emails (French tips and news) are sent only if you check the box to receive them. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Who is responsible. Olivier Djoukang, at the address above, is responsible for your data.
Who processes your data for us. Our payment providers, for payments; Google (Gmail), for sending emails; 8x8 (Jitsi as a Service), for the video lessons; geojs.io, which receives your IP address to detect your country; open.er-api.com, to show estimated prices in your currency; Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to display the fonts; and the company that hosts this site. Some of them are located outside your country, particularly in the United States. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it. Order records are kept for as long as accounting rules require. Marketing contacts are deleted when you unsubscribe, or after 3 years with no contact. Lesson requests that are not booked are deleted after 3 months.
Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to us. You can also file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
Age. Purchases and bookings are made by adults. A child's course or live lessons are bought and booked by a parent or guardian, who receives the emails and links.
10. Applicable law
These policies are governed by the law of Cameroon, where the seller lives. If you buy as a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live. If there is a problem, please write to us first: we answer every message and will look for an amicable solution.
